We have used Flexible coupling to connect the leadscrew with NEMA23 Stepper Motor. It gives appropriate connection and reduce risk of over load to the motor.

Stepper motor runs with step pulse input from the controller. It move 1.8 step angle. It comes from various Pulse per revolution settings.
